So, I learned a couple of new LiveBinder features last night that I couldn't wait to try out. I love using LiveBinders as a curation tool for building playgrounds, and now I can embed those playgrounds directly into my blog. Together, I can imagine using these tools to curate digital content into larger digital resources. For example, I might create a binder for each unit I teach, and then share those binders within my class blog. The binder below is an example of the interface:
Another new feature that I really like is the ability to send a link from a particular tab to someone. Before, I could only send a link to the binder, which meant that I also needed to send multi-step instructions for finding the resource(s) that I wanted to share. Both the embed open binder feature and the current tab URL link feature can be accessed via the share menu in your LiveBinder. Just click on "Link or Embed."
Finally, it is now possible to add the LiveBinder It button to your blog or website! This is a handy way to make sharing your content easier for your readers. Already an intuitive and useful tool, LiveBinders just keeps getting better. If you don't have an account, I encourage you to give it a try. It's free!
